Frequently Asked Questions

It is important to have all your questions answered to put any queries to rest before we take your Rover on an adventure.  Please feel free to contact us if there is anything we have not covered!

How do I sign up for your services?

It's EASY! Give us a call – Tanya @ 604-781-7567 or email us at to set up a free half-hour consultation in your home with you and your pup. We can all get to know each other and schedule our first wak.

Are you Licensed, Insured and Bonded?

We are committed to your dogs safety. We are fully insured and bonded by Carpi Insurance and licensed in the city of Vancouver. We would be happy to supply you with the documents upon request during our initial consultation.

Why should I use a dog walker?

Urban life has placed many demands on our schedule these days making it hard to devote our attention to our furry little buddies when they need it, especially in single households! It's hard to do it all – so we are here to help you be there for your pup when you are not able to!

Using a dog walker while you are away will provide you with the peace of mind knowing your pup is having an outing full of fun, socialization and exercise giving your pet a healthy life-style.

Which areas do you service?

For dog walking adventures and pee breaks, we service East Vancouver, from King Edward Ave to Cambie Street and Downtown Vancouver. We are also happy to service the Coquitlam area.  Please see our Locations tab for a detailed map.

Which locations do you walk my dog?

Pawz Unleashed walks dogs in designated dog parks, beaches and trails in Downtown and East Vancouver as well as the North Shore and Coquitlam Mountains. As apart of our commitment to your pups welfare, we will notify you by text or email upon pick up and drop off of your pup and the location of our walk.

How do you ensure my dogs safety?

All walkers at Pawz Unleashed are pet-aid certified by Walks 'n' Wags and carry a first-aid kit during each walk. They are also trained in basic dog behaviour and are dog owners themselves with plenty of experience. Each dog is carefully screened for positive behaviour for our group adventures so as not to put others in the group at risk.

Is my dog more suited to Walking or Daycare?

This is really dependent on your dogs specific needs. If your pup is either too young to keep up with the pack (younger than 8 months) or on the contrary too old and is in need of special care throughout the day, then you may want to think about the benefits of the daycare system.

The benefits of Dog Walking services, especially the Adventure Hikes, allows your pup to fully exert all his or her energy which could otherwise manifest in frustration and behaviour problems if pent up in the house all day. It also allows for group socialization and mental stimulation throughout the day which contributes to you dogs overall health and happiness.

On average, your dog should get at least one hour of exercise every day regardless of how big or small their breed. More active dogs regardless of their size will tend to need additional exercise to expend their extra energy in order to remain calmer throughout the rest of the day.
